Our objective was to experiment with Vive Lighthouses in the DiVE without compromising the screens. It was decided that a magnetic mount was worth exploring. My design was slim and repurposed hard drive magnets inserted via removable trays. Outer magnetic mounts were attached to the DiVE’s frame and the chassis, also with magnets inserted on trays, attached to the inner side of the screens. Sandwiching the screen between the two magnetic surfaces. The design minimizes screen coverage and has rounded edges to avoid puncture.
